How To Do Your At Home Patch Test Kit
So you’ve received your at home patch test kit, what now?
Firstly thank you for ordering your kit, and we hope your excited for your upcoming appointment. Below you’ll find all the information you need to successfully do your at home patch test.
YOU MUST DO AN ALLERGY ALERT TEST WITHOUT FAIL AT LEAST 48 HOURS BEFORE YOUR COLOUR APPOINTMENT.
• Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use to dye eyelashes or eyebrows. • Rinse the eyes immediately and abundantly if the product comes into contact with them • Please let us know if your hair has been coloured with henna or a colour stripper has been used. • Keep out of reach of children.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: READ BEFORE USE
THIS PRODUCT IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE ON PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 16. AN ALLERGY ALERT TEST MUST BE DONE AT LEAST 48 HOURS BEFORE APPLICATION OF THIS COLORANT, AS AN ALLERGY CAN DEVELOP SUDDENLY, EVEN IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY APPLIED THIS PRODUCT OR ANOTHER COLORANT ON YOUR HAIR.
IMPORTANT: HAIR COLOURANTS CAN CAUSE SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTIONS. FOR YOU AND YOUR CLIENT, TO HELP REDUCE THE RISK OF AN ALLERGIC REACTION, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO FOLLOW THE PRECAUTIONS BELOW:
HOW TO PERFORM THE ALLERGY ALERT TEST:
Remove earrings.
Behind the ears and using the applicator apply a little of the colorant product from each of the samples, sufficient to cover an area of 1 to 2 cm2 (e.g. the size of a small coin). We recommend apply colour from the tube with the sticker on behind your left ear and the unmarked tube behind your right ear incase you have a reaction to one not the other.
Re-apply allowing it to dry between applications.
Leave for 48 hours without washing, covering or touching. If during this period you notice any abnormal reactions, such as itching, redness or swelling in or around the test area please let us know as soon as possible. If the reaction persist or worsens we recommend you seek medical advise.
