Admit it, you've spent everyday since New Years dedicating a few hours to binge watching friends on Netflix. No judgement here huns, to be honest we'd be pretty damn concerned if you hadn't been. Something we didn't realise before is how damn fabulous the cast's fashion and hair was during the show, so we're bringing you 10 times that Rachel bought serious looks to our screens.
THE LOW MESSY BUN
Yes, yes, Y A S. Forget the high top messy bun, let's bring it back down to a low bun with a few pieces pulled from the front to frame the face. Use texturising spray to help this style hold, it'll add more grip to the hair which will make sure the messy bun doesn't turn in to a hot mess.
Do we swap the preened waves and curls for a messy, undone look? hell yeah. Curling from the ear down will add bounce to the ends without going to OTT with volume on the roots.
HALF UP WITH ADDED VOLUME
we're so here for the added volume with this style, full of texture on the lengths and bounce in the roots. This is a "day after heavy styling" look, especially if you had waves the day before, you should still have some texture lingering which would be perfect to recreate this:
We f*cking love this, with decades old fashion coming back to the high street, we gotta have the hair to match. We recommend this for days where your hair is at the end of its life pre washing, dry shampoo and messy plaits with a hat to bring in the retro style.
FULL & VOLUMINOUS
We love this undone, full bodied vibe. The best way to achieve this is to use a texture spray and a wide barrel curler, give your locks a good brush through afterwards to spring the curls in to action.
GOLDEN AND GLOSSY
Golden tones and gloss, blunted and choppy. What don't we love about this. Blunt cuts are still very much a thing at the moment, you can add in a few fine layers around the front to soften the look around your face.
One of her more modern styles, a darker honey blonde with a TONNE of shaping around the front, this is great to add texture to your hair style without having to go all out with layers. Adding a few long layers and shaping around the face can make the WORLD of diff.
Possibly our fave, we're major fans of the bouncy wave at #SCL, if you couldn't already tell from our IG. LIT AF.
THE TAMED MANE
One of the lower key hairstyles that's Rachel bought to our screen, but still chic & glossy. The best way to keep your hair looking glossy like Rachel's is to use oils regularly which will help improve the condition.
One of her longest lock styles to date. You can see she's added extensions in through the lengths to thicken the look. Extensions are great not just for adding length but for adding texture and body to your hair, especially if you have a lot of fine hair.
The other girls had their hair moments on the show too so if you liked this post let us know and we can bring you some more hair envy moments from Monica & Phoebe.
Until next time huns, keep that Netflix binge going.
